26th May 2020
Introduction
Sutherland Cars takes the safety and wellbeing of its customers and staff seriously. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, our team have carried out a thorough risk assessment to ensure that the site is ‘COVID-SECURE’ as we continue to provide excellent service for our customers and get back to business in the ‘new normal’.
Our plans and actions are influenced by:
- The overriding principle that the health and wellbeing of our staff and customers is our priority as we adapt to a new way of working
- Our statutory duties
- Current government guidance in response to COVID – 19
- Industry advice and best practice
- Our values and our vision for the future
Changes we have made:
We have put social distancing measures in place, following the government’s recent guidance. This means that we have:
- Minimum staff in the office, with members of the team working from home where possible
- 2m distancing rules in place
- Customers visiting the site to view or collect cars by appointment only
Sanitation and hygiene routines have been increased to the levels recommended by the government. These include:
- Regular and frequent cleaning of door handles, surfaces, desks and telephones
- All cars are sanitised following viewings, test drives or mechanical work
- Hand sanitiser stations in the office, as well as at the entrance and exit to the building
- Regular staff briefings to ensure consistent practices across the business
